What it's all about

Hello You, I'm happy that you found here!

Have you been wondering what's the purpose of all this? What are you doing with your life? I believe that you need to live according to your soul's purpose, otherwise, things won't really work out in your favor. Often times some kind of tragedy needs to happen in our lives, that makes us think the life's fragility. But can we just stop for a while – before the shit hits the fan – to appreciate what we have and to think about the bigger picture? Though, suffering makes us develop, and it seems to be the only power that makes people think more about the meaning of their lives. I don't mean that your purpose needs to be something big and extraordinary, life can seem pretty boring after all, and it doesn't harm to contemplate your life a little bit.  Most often, you need to have some problem that makes you look for help – and that's good! Normally there's a good growing point, and that's why I'm also here!

Who

I'm Elina Kristiina Rantamäki, a purpose-driven, truth seeker by nature. I want to aim for the best possible outcome and wisdom in this life and live for life's miracles while appreciating every day alive. I'm a wife, mother, and stepmother – and very interested in people and relationships.

By my education, I'm a Behavioural Scientist (MA, University of Helsinki, 2013), and a Sexual Counsellor (Sexpo, Helsinki, 2015). Besides my Master's in interpersonal and intercultural communication and my sexology degree, I have done different courses, certificates, seminars, and workshops over the years, all over the world as well as online, in different areas in different fields such as astrology, Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® (in QHHT training!), Theta Healing®, Reiki, Art of Living, yoga, meditation, pranayama, and ayurveda.

Educational & working background.

I've been always intrigued by people and why they act in certain ways. I always aim to explain everything intellectually, and I guess that led me eventually to study Behavioural Sciences in the beginning. Behavioral science describes the study of human behavior through the use of systematic experimentation and observation. It aims to explain when and why individuals engage in specific behaviors by experimentally examining the impact of factors such as conscious thoughts, motivation, social influences, contextual effects, and habits.

Several disciplines fall under the broad label of behavioral science that I've been studying, including psychology (social psychology and cognitive psychology), communications, anthropology, and sociology. In my studies, I specialised in intercultural and interpersonal communications. To understand the full complexity of human behavior, some behavioral scientists synthesise theories, concepts, and methodologies across some of these disciplines – and I always have done that in my studies, my work, and my personal interests. That has made life much more rich and interesting.

I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Interactive Technology from the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences at the University of Tampere (2008). I studied computing sciences and a great mixture of other subjects such as marketing, social psychology, and philosophy, and I started to work in technology startups back then when they weren't "so cool"... My interdisciplinary studies and interests have taken me to have my exchange year in Australia, to study economics in Spain, to work in Switzerland as a ski guide, and in the US (San Francisco) as a community-builder in a co-working space, and different seasonal places as a tennis coach. After settling back in Finland, I worked in different Finnish technology startups in communication and marketing positions that took me around the world to arrange different events and look for new customers and markets.

Though I tried, I never found myself truly belonging to the technology field. The people were great, I was a great networker, and socially skilled, but doing calculated business was not my motivator. I rather talked deep talks than small talks and was more interested in talking about sensitive, personal things than pitching the business model. I wanted to work otherways than in front of the computer and I wished to encounter people more deeply.

In my master's thesis in the interpersonal communications field, I researched friends-with-benefits relationships in Helsinki and San Francisco. It was a kick to start to study sexology to get a sexual counseling degree to be able to start meeting clients. I loved to help and talk about people's sex lives and started my sexual counselling business on the side with other work in 2016. Look more at what it is all about at the sexual and relationship counseling site here.

The human mind has always fascinated me. In 2018, I was asked to join in establishing a new psychotherapy chain in Finland. I was part of the founding team and one of the key persons since the beginning and developed the processes to start one of the biggest therapy chains in Finland. Today, Terapiatalo Noste has a great variety of hundreds of different therapists in the fields of psychotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. The clinics are all over Finland, so I warmly recommend contacting them if in need of professional help in therapy services. I'm very pleased to see that mental health awareness has finally transitioned from being a taboo topic to a mainstream topic of discussion. I'm so happy to see that it's widely acknowledged how important it is to take care of your mental health and it's totally ok and encouraged to ask for professional help.

Next steps.

I've been privileged to develop efficient processes for good causes and make mental health care more accessible for many. I've felt that my work has been meaningful most of the time, but I had some pushes in my personal life that took me to look for other things too. After some life events, incidents, and insights – I couldn't see myself in the corporate world anymore. Occasionally, it gets hard for me to follow conventional rules. New trends start to interest me before the mainstream, and I've also heard that I'm not ever choosing the easiest way. However, I will remain true to my heart, and my passion and purpose is to encounter people and help them.

Along with that, people are finally realising how mental health has a significant impact on overall health. For this progress to continue, we need to open our minds to the next topic brought out of the taboo and into the mainstream of acceptance. The topic is energy healing. I know this will be a more difficult task because of the simple fact that energy healing doesn’t fully conform to the scientific method that our Western society holds onto so dearly, and it's not concrete and evident for many.

While mental health can be approached through science, logic, and rational thought – it doesn't necessarily convey elements that are intuitive or spiritual. The Western, scientific approach relies solely on rational thought and logic with no consideration of intuitive knowledge. Energy healing is rooted in intuitive knowledge. Both are important and support one another, and we should aim for balance. Balance in scientific terms is called homeostasis. When our body is in homeostasis, our body is healthy. If we want to achieve true holistic health, also known as total body wellness of the mind, body, and spirit, we need to embrace both the logical (ie: scientific medicine) and intuitive (ie: energy healing) strategies for health and healing. Our energetic body needs just as much healing as our physical body. Issues in our energetic body manifest in our physical body either in the form of good health or disease. I realised with all my actions, studies, and interests that I have always aimed for holistic wellbeing.

Disclaimer: My methods do not treat diagnosed mental health issues. I warmly recommend psychotherapy and advise you to contact your medical doctor for all medical advice. You can look more for energy healing details here

Astrology also guided me on this path.

Years ago, during my travels in India, I got profoundly interested in astrology. Back then it did really shift my perception about astrology when I realised, that astrology is taught in universities in India, as it was taught all over the world in ancient times! To begin with, astrology offered me great insights to look for my life, my strengths, capacity, relationships, professional life, character, and spiritual development. It's the wholeness that counts. I knew earlier that the star sign (your birth sign in the horoscopes) doesn't tell you anything. I wanted to understand why professional astrologers were telling me certain things, I wanted to understand my chart holistically, and I was not interested in ordering simple online readings. If psychology is referred to as the study of the soul, and Astrology as the study of the soul through the language of the stars – I got hooked on this complicated and ancient language, and I wanted to understand more all the time.

Hence, it was years afterward, that I realised that I didn't live according to my astrological chart. I didn't live at all accordingly to my Lunar Nodes either. (Please read more about them here, if you are not familiar with this topic yet :) And it took me a long time until I really started to understand their meaning and they aligned my life accordingly. Then things started to happen.

I think astrology has been also one of the biggest gates to even deeper esoteric knowledge and guidance to explore more – I have always been curious about different phenomenons, and after certain life events, encounters, and happenings – I couldn't continue my ideas about my (professional) life as it has been. I just couldn't resist stepping onto new adventures and trying out this path. And now I'm here, starting to realise and live more for my purpose – you will be hearing more if you bear with me.

I'm here to help You.

I believe in divine timing, and that things happen for a reason. There's a big shift happening in the world towards different kinds of views, values, and ways of life. We are longing to evolve our relationship with nature and simple things.

The human mind is so interesting and capable of incredible things, for example, self-suggestion is such a powerful tool. I'm interested in educating myself more and more all the time. Each person holds much potential but it needs to be let out. Sometimes a person needs a little nudge, a little support, a little coaching, a little direction, and a helping hand to show things further. And you can figure out the answers. I believe you need to align yourself with your soul's purpose and use your talents. We have great potential inside, so please, let me help you figure out those things. Please, look at here areas where I could help you, and let's be in touch.
